Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of LexPix, operated by LexPix ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the app you agree to these Terms.
1. Use of the Service
LexPix is a language learning app. You may use it for personal, non-commercial learning purposes. You agree not to:
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute our content or word data at scale
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract our source code beyond what is publicly visible
- Use the service in any way that violates applicable law
- Create accounts for others without their consent
2. Accounts
You may use most of the app without an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. You must provide a valid email address. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Free and Pro Plans
LexPix offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription. The features included in each tier are described in the app and may change over time. We will give reasonable notice of any material reduction in free-tier features.
4. Payments and Refunds
Pro subscriptions are billed through Stripe. All prices are in USD and include applicable taxes where required by law.
- Monthly plans — cancel any time; you retain Pro access until the end of the billing period.
- Annual plans — cancel any time; no refund for the unused portion unless required by law.
- Refund requests — contact us within 14 days of purchase at chocolatesdomjose@gmail.com and we will consider refunds on a case-by-case basis.
5. Intellectual Property
All app code, design, word data, and content are the property of LexPix or its licensors. Images are sourced from Unsplash and Pexels under their respective licences and remain the property of their photographers.
You retain ownership of any content you create (e.g. exported share cards). By sharing content from the app you confirm you have the right to do so.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, accuracy of translations, or fitness for any particular purpose. Language learning results depend on your own effort and practice.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LexPix shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from the app settings. On termination, your locally stored data remains on your device; server-side data will be deleted within 30 days.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Portugal, unless local consumer protection law requires otherwise.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify signed-in users of material changes by email.
